Dear diary,
I don't know, I just feel like, when I was clearing out my wallet, I remember all the occasion linked to the hoard of receipts stashed in my wallet, so it's probably a worthwhile mention.
When I went out with the Foundation group, saw the sour cream at a discounted price and so's the very premium looking yogurt, the yogurt turns out to be really nice and me and da really enjoyed it. I remember the sour cream already at the clearance stock section previously, but the price was further reduced so I snatched it up on that day. |

Singapore tourist pass, first time buying stuff and navigating in a foreign land all ba maself, it was scary but Singapore is a great place to start with all its facilities and modern conveniences. As long as you have cash that is, of course, especially for the sim card, there were better alternatives, thank goodness I was stingy and didn't jump right in buying one, it's actually very overprices, might as well use roaming. |
Heheh... bought compound chocolate to make chocolate drink and also for cheap chocolate bar to eat it straight away raw, bought it at a baking shop in Kampar, good times that row, still remember when that whole row was just built and was vacant. |
Ahh, dumb housing management car sticker, at least it's per annum, and also, giving jobs to guards and all that. |
In hometown during CNY, had the soap dream still in my head, thought food flavoring would help... nope, smells gross... Remember we were gonna be eating Blue Reef while SO and me went shopping there. |
So that's where my missing laundry ticket went, I swear I searched the whole wallet to no avail. Ah well, as if the laundry ladies cared, they're used to students doing stupid shit anyways. |
When you loose self control in life, malak receipt when we splurged, teh Vits was not enough... also memories with SO in New Town... it's really memories. And planning to make more. In the process of making more actually. Used to joke that we are both the result of two people with attachment issue being together. |
That day my parents said there's dirty stuff on my teeth, gotta go for teeth scaling, darn I hate teeth scaling, but by the end of the day still gotta get it done and, yeah, SO was there, this is I think, one of his first adult time being at the dentist and seeing so much blood and all that procedures and equipment was pretty fascinating, from that day onward he flossed and is very conscious of his dental health. |
Ahh, the very beginning of my last degree sem, it was all new and full of productive non academic energy, did so many miscellaneous stuff including the renewal of studentID, dumb, it's pretty expensive, also I remember they didn't let me help SO renew so there's that, since it's so difficult to find parking SO wanted to stay in the car and wait while I go and renew it. Some things one would totally not think about or remember until there's some pictures or relevant things to trigger it, that's why I like taking pictures of everything and documenting especially food and stuff that makes me happy, or in this receipt diary, nostalgic. Also helps future me reflect herself, since in writing, you can sort of decipher a person's view of the world and mentality, that's what I'm aiming for at least.

Japan KL airport... this dude insisted on Burger King like... sure okay, I'm not not happy with that, but he have always been insistent on things without thinking about other people preferences, not a very nice fella to hang out with... I mean, he's a very sort of spoilt and always got his way child after all, seeing the relationship between him and his parents... didn't really enjoy their company but hey, who am I to judge, experience is experience, and new experiences have always been fresh air for the mind, although on hindsight you'll realize you have some distaste towards certain people, oh well, it do be like that sometimes. Also, dang airport food is hecking expensive. |
Relatively cheap gelato ice cream with mom, it's nice :) Gotta spend more time with them parents yanoe, they ain't around foreva... although thay can be for a long long time, like my great grandparents are still around, I hope this happens without them being senile or suffering any diseases. |
Third anniversary simple meal preparation last minute decided I needed bread. |
Ah, I remember this one. My shoe broke in KFC, then I need to go get some superglue, so I went to Econsave while wearing SO's shoes. Another case of super glue was, before setting out our journey back to Penang one sem break, SO wanted to play pool, halfway walking there his shoe broke in front of the restaurant where there's always singing shows going on, forgot the name, used to go there a bunch during my Foundation. I gotta go get the super glue from the convenience stall while he waddled inconveniently to one side, looked for it here and there it's actually right in front of me, I even asked the owner, must've think I'm dumb or something. |
KFC loaded bowl, the mood was pretty sour, forgot why, probably the typical mood swing, he got McDonalds stuff in the end while I got KFC I think. |
Someone once said that Buddies Aglio Olio is so heavenly delicious, and this place is always full house for some reason, But when we went there, the Aglio Olio was very meh, they just smothered the spaghet with a bunch of garlic, yes, it's nice and the portion is big but... it's still very pricey you know... I suppose at least the noodles was close to Al Dante although not really, uhhh, expectation vs reality. |
When SO cut himself with a darn kettle... went to Watson to buy first aid supplies. But in the end it healed pretty fast though, didn't need stitches although you can sort of see some adipose tissue already, yeah, that's how deep it cut, a friggin kettle, friggin killing machine. |
Singapore sort of cheap chocolate place, last minute decided wanted to buy more, yeah, hoarded a bunch of chocolate back, sadly no one was interested and I didn't really have the mood or time to make luxurious drinks suited for a chocolate spoon. |
Super worthy purchase Tuesday! I love it! It's like, 5 pcs of chicken tenders and 4 pcs of full huge ass chicken just at the price of 20 bucks! Ahh, those unhealthy fiberless days. Of course we didn't really do it often, our bodies were telling us it's not healthy, but the tongue is sometimes disobedient, and the heart longs for the tongue's happiness, while the brain is conflicted between all of them, all right I should stop here with all the lame organs metaphors. |
Each a Cup fanatic period, the thumb was the gateway drug, one fine day just felt like drinking something posh but not as posh as Starbucks, and then we bought the durian and cendol flavour to try, it was soo good, we kept coming back for more, especially on Tuesdays, where there's the medium milk tea for only 2.90, and then there's also the buy 5 free one thingy, and there's als o the normal days, and the day when my parents came and I didn't want to get Starbucks because secretly I wanted Starbucks to die since their stuff is so overpriced and EAC costs cheaper and tasted around the same, so yeah there's that. |
Man, that was a lot of writing, so many memories tucked inside the flaps of my brain. I didn't wanna throw away the receipts due to the memories but they're becoming junk, so I did the next best thing, taking digital pictures and making them eternal. There's so many details I want to jot down, so many related memories and geographical emotional attachment and stuff but, it's getting really long and tiresome. So I'll end it here, so long, and till next time my dear diary.
